Tipping In The United Kingdom isn’t very common at all. Surprisingly since London is one of the most travelled cities in the world. People travel from all over the world to see the royal family, walk over London Bridge, see big ben and relax at the local pub. The UK has never been a large tipping culture, however depending on where you go you may be expected to tip. Use our guide below to figure out when and where you should tip on your travels around The United Kingdom.    Taxis: Not expected, but it is standard now to round up.    Hotels: No tips are expected. If the bell boy brings your bags up then 1 pound per bag may be expected. This is seen in the nicer hotels though.    Restaurants: If service isn’t included then you could tip about 10%. However, this isn’t expected and not required. The nicer restaurants in London will likely include a service charge on the bill. This is worth checking so you don’t double tip.    Bars: Tipping in bars or pubs isn’t expected. If you are at a really posh bar then a service charge may be included.    Other: The United Kingdom is a very friendly country with some great beer. Tipping in Guatemala is becoming more common and more people travel. Its no surprise people are traveling to Guatemala though as it is the home of great coffee and beautiful landscapes. It is becoming a popular destination for adventure and vacations. Use our tipping guide below to figure out when you should tip and when you shouldn’t on your travels through Guatemala.    Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver isn’t expected, though rounding up with even change does make things easier.    Hotels: If the bell boy was to handle your baggage then you should give him about $1-2 a bag, more if its a large distance to your room. You should also aim to tip the maid $1-2 a night.    Restaurants: If service is included you will see the word “propina” on the bill. Tipping In Canada is just as common as the US! Being the neighbor of the US, Canada has absorbed a lot of the tipping policies and guidelines that the US has. Don’t let that stop you though, as Canada is home to great wildlife, amazing mountains and a range of outdoor activities. Tipping in Singapore isn’t very common and its no surprise! Singapore is a very small country on a very small island. It is home of some of the friendliest people and second biggest port in the world. There is lots to see around the cities and still plenty of places to relax and enjoy the sites. Make sure you use our tipping guide below so you don’t double tip all throughout your stay!    Taxis: Not required but you could round up to show appreciation and make things easier.    Hotels: Service charge may be on your hotel bill already.
