Tipping In China
Tipping in China is becoming more common as traveling increases. China’s economy is growing rapidly and traveling is becoming more and more common. China is home of the Great Wall and has a wide range of temples to see and visit across the country, don’t miss out on the great cities in China either, such as Beijing and Shanghai. Tipping is still new though and sometimes discouraged so use your tipping guide below to see when you should trip as you travel across China. Taxis: Not required and could be considered insulting to some. Hotels: In high end western hotels you may be expected to tip. This would be a few dollars a bag and few dollars a night for the maid. You should check to see if you are paying for a service charge though. In normal hotels tipping is not required or necessary. Restaurants: In high end western restaurants you may be expected to tip.
