Tipping in Guam is pretty common since it is a US territory. Don’t let that stop your travels though! Guam is a beautiful country with terrific landscapes and friendly people. It is great for diving and other outdoor water adventures. Use our tipping guide below on your travels through Guam and figure out when you should tip and when you shouldn’t!
Taxis: You should aim to tip taxi drivers 10-15% of the total fare.
Hotels: You should tip the bellboy about $1-2 a bag. You should also leave the maid about $1-2 a night.
Restaurants: If service isn’t already included then you should tip about 10-15% based on the service.
Bars: You should tip the bar staff about 10% or the total bill.
Other: You should tip the boat staff about $5-10 per trip and the spa staff $5-10 per visit. This should be shared among the staff, assuming its not a very large group. If diving then you should tip each crew member.
