Taxis: Tipping taxi drivers in St. Lucia is expected. You should aim to tip about 10%.
Hotels: Tipping in hotels in St. Lucia is somewhat common in the high class hotels. You should aim to tip $2-3 EC to the Porter per bag and $2-3 EC to the maid per night.
Restaurants: Tipping in restaurants in St. Lucia is expected. Check the bill first and make sure the 10% service charge isn’t already included. If it is then you can tip a few dollars more if the service was above and beyond. If it was average and service charge is included then no other tip is required. Aim 10-15% if no service charge is added.
Bars: Tipping bartenders in St. Lucia is common as well. You should aim to tip 10% of the bar bill to the bar tender. Again, check for service charges!
Other: Tipping in St. Lucia is common. However, if you are going to an all inclusive check the fine print. Often tipping is already included and no further tips are required. Other times, tipping isn’t and you must tip at every meal.
