Tipping In Italy isn’t common Italy which is great for enjoying all that delicious Food! Italy is home of delicious pizza and amazing pasta. The food is to die for and we haven’t even begun to see the amazing sites and beaches Italy has to offer. It is a country that offers so much history, landscape, and food its no wonder its on everyones #1 list. Taxis: Tipping a taxi driver isn’t common or expected. You can round up to the nearest Euro to make things easier.
Hotels: If staying at a nicer hotel you should tip the bell boy 1 Euro a bag.
Restaurants: Often a “Coperto”, or cover charge, is included for bread, oil and cleaning etc. Service is usually built into the price as well. If service was exceptional then you can round up the to the nearest round number.
Bars: Tipping bar tenders isn’t expected or required.
Other: Tipping isn’t common practice in Italy. You will find that most Italians don’t tip other then rounding up the change. While traveling in Italy you should follow these same standards!
