Tipping in Ukraine is becoming more common as more and more make it a travel destination. It has amazing scenery and friendly people and can really feel like a home away from home. Use our tipping guide below when traveling around Kiev or any of the other beautiful cities in Ukraine!
Taxis: Tipping is not expected, but rounding up to the nearest whole amount goes a long way and makes things easier.
Hotels: Service charge is often included so please check your hotel bills. If it is then there is no reason to tip, otherwise a small amount is fine for exceptional service.
Restaurants: In the nicer restaurants tipping is very common. You should check your bill and make sure service isn’t included. If it isn’t then a 10-15% is warranted based on the service you received.
Bars: You are not expected to tip at bars. If you do receive service at the table then a 5% tip is enough.
Other: Tipping in Ukraine is becoming more common as westerners travel. Tipping isn’t as high though so keep that in mind and don’t feel the need to tip on bad service.
